I went here, and it fully prepared me to be on the open road by myself. I can't say enough good things about this place. The standard of learning is way above any other trucking school that I have heard of throughout the country, having talked to other truckers after graduating. -National Tractor Trailer School Graduate
National Tractor Trailer School (NTTS) was established over 45 years ago. The school trains men and women for commercial truck driving careers. Students can get their Commercial Drivers License A (CDL-A) and Commercial Driver's License B (CDL-B). Programs range from 10-24 weeks. National Tractor Trailer School has placed thousands of certified truck drivers on the road and is available in convenient locations throughout New York. There are two locations in New York: Liverpool, and Buffalo. The Liverpool campus offers on-campus housing. Scholarships, Grants, loans and the GI Bill for Veterans are available to those who are eligible. Truck driving job placement is offered, and the companies that are hiring are Swift Transportation, Dot Foods, Wadhams Enterprises and TMC. Career services are available to help students with job applications, personal interviews and referrals.
Established in 1971, National Tractor Trailer School has over 40 years experience training men and women for commercial truck driver careers. Accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges and with courses certified by the Professional Truck Driver Institute (PTDI), NTTS is approved by the NYS Division of Veterans Affairs for the training of veterans (GI Bill), and is an eligible institution for financial aid programs including Stafford Loans (student loans), Parental Loans for undergraduate students (P.L.U.S.), and Pell Grants.
NTTS offers CDL Truck Driver Training (CDL-A and CDL-B) programs, financial aid for those who qualify, full and part-time courses, graduate employment assistance, and modern housing available to students from out of town.
At NTTS, commercial truck driver training isn't just about getting a CDL license, but the career education to become a qualified and competent, entry level, commercial truck driver.
Students are given the opportunity for a personal interview with the Placement Director to review their job opportunities based on their individual needs and abilities. The Placement Director will also review a student's job applications upon request to aid the student in submitting the best application he or she can.
Both national and local companies recruit NTTS’ students and graduates to go to work for them as professional drivers. Thru the efforts of the Placement Department at NTTS, over 600 employers have hired our graduates.
NTTS Staff personally contacts and visits companies to discuss their need of drivers and to check on previous placements.
NTTS continually explores different employment resources throughout the state and country looking for jobs in the industry to make opportunities available to successful graduates.
One of the best indications of the quality of a NTTS graduate is the fact that several major carriers visit our campus on a regular basis to conduct interviews and hire students.
Companies contact NTTS with job opportunities for our graduates. Our placement department then refers qualified students for the position.
Together, we are the key to your success!
